We have been making our Russian Dressing since 1970 from an old family recipe developed in our kitchen blender and served to our 5 children. Garlic, best known for the wonderful taste it imparts, does not overpower you, but leaves you with a wonderful, lingering taste. Customers have called telling us they need a straw to get the last of the Russian Dressing out of the bottle. It's no wonder the Russian Dressing has won so many awards. In 1997, Food Distribution Magazine in Florida awarded us a 2nd and 3rd place award, as did the Idaho Specialty Food Association, in 1997 and 1999. Unlike many Russian Dressings made with mayonnaise, our Russian Dressing has no mayonnaise, yet is tangy and slightly sweet, like a "country French", with tidbits of garlic and course ground black pepper. All of our products at Coeur d'Alene Dressing are made in small batches ensuring quality control, each bottle of Russian Dressing and all our other flavors meet our award winning taste expectations. Our Russian Dressing is not only great as a salad dressing, but great on tacos, chicken on the barbeque, mixed with mayonnaise for a great chicken salad spread, or make our Russian Dressing Parmesan dip for fresh veggies. Not only is the Russian Dressing great tasting, but it's surprisingly low in calories and fat. Russian Dressing has been a staple at our dinner table for decades and hope it will at yours also.

The rich flavor of fresh ground ginger is unmistakable in our Ginger Dressing, with no artificial flavors or colors. You see and taste lots of little pieces of ginger, but not to much to make our Ginger Dressing hot. You can use the Ginger Dressing straight from the bottle for a great marinade, since ginger acts as a natural tenderizer, as a dressing for "Chinese Chicken Salad," or as a dipping sauce for egg rolls. Try mixing a little soy sauce and sesame oil with the Ginger Dressing for an even more 'oriental' flavor. Our Ginger Dressing has won two 1st place awards in 1997 from Food Distribution Magazine, as well as Outstanding Product of the Year with the Idaho Specialty Food Association in 1998. Although the Ginger Dressing is low in calories and fat, it is still a wonderfully unique and versatile dressing.

Huckleberries...what can you say about those tart, but subtly sweet berries harvested by hand here in the great Northwest? Huckleberries cannot be cultivated in the garden and are a favorite meal for bears. Smaller than a blueberry and sometimes mistaken for one, they have a more intense flavor. Our Huckleberry-Ginger Dressing is an award-winning combination of huckleberries with a touch of ginger. Winning 2nd place in 1997 and again in 1999 with Food Distribution Magazine, the Huckleberry-Ginger Dressing takes you to a new level of delicious flavor, a truly one-of-a-kind taste sensation. First you taste those delicious huckleberries, then enhanced with just a touch of ginger. A beautiful rich burgundy-colored dressing, the Huckleberry-Ginger Dressing makes a beautiful glaze for a turkey, ham or pork chops and a wonderful, fruity dipping sauce as well. You'd never guess it was low in calories and fat.

Honey-mustard dressing...who doesn't like the taste of course ground Dijon mustard blended with a trace of honey? Apricot-Dijon Dressing is our version of honey mustard dressing. It is a unique blend of two of the finest Dijon mustards, a dash of Italian seasoning, the tang of apple cider vinegar and subtle sweetness of apricots, a wonderful balance. Again, the "proof is in the pudding" so to speak, as our Apricot-Dijon Dressing won 1st place awards twice in 1999 with Food Distribution Magazine, as well as a 2nd place award. Idaho Specialty Food Association also awarded the Apricot-Dijon Dressing honorable mention for Best New Product of the Year in 1999. Sweet and savory, our Apricot-Dijon Dressing is wonderful over spinach salad, chicken in the oven or mixed with Balsamic Vinegar for more of a vinaigrette dressing. Like our other dressings, the Apricot-Dijon Dressing is low in everything, so great for dieting.

The nutty flavor of toasted poppy seeds along with little shavings of orange peel and green onion, give our Toasted Poppy Dressing a truly different taste. It is a fabulous blend with orange and lemon juices as the base. Developed to meet the needs of those lactose intolerant who want a poppy dressing, you can't miss with our Toasted Poppy Dressing. Even though the Toasted Poppy Dressing is low in fat and calories, it too has won its share of awards. In 1998 Toasted Poppy Dressing won 2nd place with Food Distribution Magazine and again in 1999 won 3rd place, as well as Best New Product for 2000 with the Idaho Specialty Food Association. It's wonderful as a green salad dressing, coleslaw dressing, or as a dipping sauce for cold pork.

A dressing for diabetics is our Lo-Sugar Lo-Fat Russian Dressing. This dressing is truly low in everything but taste. But for the label, you couldn't tell the difference between our Lo-Sugar Lo-Fat Russian Dressing and our regular Russian Dressing. It too has a perky peppery , garlic taste, a little sweet, a little tart. Food Distribution Magazine awarded our Lo-Fat Russian Dressing a 3rd place in 1997. It is a great tasting subtly tangy dressing, with all the taste of the high calorie dressings, without the calories. Try on grilled or roasted veggies, or dip fresh veggies in the Lo-Sugar Lo-Fat Russian Dressing Parmesan dip. It's a dieters dream dressing.

Caramelized Onion Grilling and Glazing Sauce, can it sound any better? When we caramelize sweet onions, the aroma fills the business center where we have our commercial kitchen. This is our best selling product. "Can't get enough" some customers say, as they buy it by the case. Our Caramelized Onion Grilling and Glazing sauce is just that, not any ordinary BBQ sauce. It's a little warm to the palate with a few drops of Habanero, so you don't have any burn, just a wonderful yummy sauce for nearly anything you can think of. The Caramelized Onion Grilling and Glazing Sauce won honorable mention for Best New Product of the Year with the Idaho Specialty Food Association. Our Caramelized Onion Grilling and Glazing Sauce can be used in the oven, under the broiler, or on the BBQ. It makes a great glaze for salmon or wild game and a great dipping sauce for steak.

Creamery Ranch Dip and Dressing Mix is a unique ranch dressing that we believe it is the best out there. We've added sweet cream to our Creamery Ranch Mix so it doesn't have a 'vinegar' bite, just a real 'creamy' taste. It's spiced with just enough garlic, onion and parsley to be the perfect blend. It's so easy to make fresh Ranch Dressing any time you want it, and you can taste the difference between fresh and bottled. Mix it with mayonnaise, thinned with a little milk till it's just the consistency you like. Or you can make our Creamery Ranch Dressing with sour cream and mayonnaise for a thicker dip, for chicken or fish strips.

Zesty Dill Dip and Dressing Mix is probably our most popular dry dip mix. Like the Creamery Ranch mix, you can make a great salad dressing, fresh, anytime you want. Zesty Dill Dip is also great for chips, veggies or even makes a great topping for baked fish, holding in the heat and moisture. Try replacing your regular mayonnaise with our Zesty Dill Dip for potato or pasta salad. It's perfect with bread, crackers or chips. You can make the Zesty Dill Dip low fat or no fat without changing the taste much.

Our Garden Spinach Dip Mix is so much more than a spinach dip. It is a great combination of seven different vegetables, plus you don't have to add any spinach. Garden Spinach Dip can be made with sour cream and mayonnaise, or even mixed with cream cheese or shredded cheddar. A great taste treat, the Garden Spinach Dip can even be used as a base for a wonderful clam dip!

Toasted Onion Dip Mix is not overpowering with onion, just a mellow sweet onion dip. Use it as a dip for your favorite chips, but be sure to try it on baked potatoes. Sprinkle dry Toasted Onion Dip Mix over a slightly browned roast then cover with foil and bake till it falls apart. The gravy is terrific.

It's hard to find words to describe our Chunky Bleu Cheese Dip and Dressing Mix. With a mild taste of garlic, onion and white pepper, it's just the perfect blend to enhance the bleu cheese. The chunks of bleu cheese haven't been aged a long time, so it isn't overly strong and pungent, but it's rich and creamy. You can make Chunky Bleu Cheese Dressing in small batches so you have the freshest, most delicious bleu cheese you've ever tasted. Use our Chunky Bleu Cheese as a dip for steak or burgers, or thin with a little milk for a terrific salad dressing. You'll never find this taste in any bottle.

More and more customers are requesting Fat Free, Low Carb and Low Fat Dressings. All of Coeur d'Alene Dressing Company's bottled dressings are low in fat and calories and great for any diet. The dry mixes can all be made with regular mayonnaise or sour cream or mixed with Low or No Fat products, with loads of flavor and zest. There's nothing to lose with our dressings and mixes.

Our newest product, Hickory Sweet Rub and Meat Seasoning, has been a hit this first summer. It is made with sea-salt, has NO msg, fillers, or anti-caking products. The taste is similar to a very popular BBQ potato chip...a little sweet, a little salty, with just a hint of smoky flavor. We love it on pork steak, grilled or fried in a little olive oil. A number of great restaurants in the area are using our Hickory Sweet Rub. It's not only great on pork, but roasts, chicken and fish as well.

Three new products are ready to launch later this fall: Breakfast Sausage Seasoning, Sweet Italian Sausage Seasoning, Hot Italian Sausage Seasoning. These will be available to food service, wholesale and retail venues. The packages will season 1-10 pounds of meat, poultry, pork and game. All ingredients used are of the highest quality making these truly Premium Seasonings. Hunters will be able to use these products for scrumbtous meat flavors. Look for additional flavors as time goes on.
